Professor Dr. Abdusalam Jalalaidin was born in 1962 in Gulja. He is the associate director of the Institute of Resources and Environmental Technology at Xinjiang University, as well as the associate director of the Faculty of Geography. After earning a master’s degree in natural geography, he has held positions such as senior lecturer. For many years he has taught and conducted research in areas including water resources and environmental science, soil environment, technical measurement, digital cartography, and natural geography, publishing numerous papers in these fields.

He was charged with a crime involving the sale of state secrets.
