 Mr. Yasinjan Sadiq Choghlan is the one of the imprisoned Uyghur writers, he is now serving his unknown years of prison terms.

Yasinjan Sadiq Choghlan was born in March 1966 in a worker’s family in Yeken County. After graduated university he works in the political department of the Kashgar Administrative Bureau (former Yeken) of Xinjang Tarim River administration. He is a member of the Chinese Writers Society, member of Xinjiang Writers Society, vice president of Kashgar Writers Society, member of the editorial board of the “Kashgar” magazine. He started his writing carrier in April 1988 by publishing his first story “Simple and Ordinary Manager” in former “Yeken Newspaper”, he greatly contributed in our region by creatively writing in his spare time.  Some of his stories, such as “The Executioner Queen”, “Nazinin Girls“, “Sharandaz Woman“, “Bahadirname” and other historical and realistic novels have been well appraised by readers and literary scholars.

His works such as “Desert“, “the Cow“, “Tawus Ellein”, “Don’t Twinkle, Stars“, “Fatime’s Dress”, “Peacock“, “Dry River” and more, have been translated into Han Chinese and other languages. His story “Oh, Countryside” was awarded for the 6th “Khantangri Literature Award“; the story “Don’t Twinkle, Stars was awarded for the 15th “Khantangri Literature Award“; His short story collection “The night with a hidden under the moon” got the “Tulpar Literary Award“; The novel “Desert” won the “Tarim Literature Award“; The novel “The Dry River” won the “Golden Wedding” award. Due to his achievements in creative writing, the Xinjiang Writers’ Association awarded him the “Xinjiang Young Writers Literary Award“. He was evaluated as “the Literary and artistic Intellectual in both morality and career” by the Kashgar regional party media campaign department and Literary-Artist Union.

  4. Baby Cuckoo ” short story collection, published in 1998 in Publishing House of Minority Nationalities.
  5. Silent Land” short story collection, published in Xinjiang People’s Publishing House in 2001.
  6. Queen of Melodies – Amannisakhan” historical story, published in Xinjiang People’s Publishing House in 2003.
  7. The historical story “Protector of Justice – Said Khan” was published in Xinjiang People’s Publishing House in 2003.
  8. Spilled blood on Diwan Mashrep” – a collection of stories, published in Xinjiang Youth publication house in 2005.
  9. Dawan” novel, published in 1998 in Kashgar Uyghur publishing house.
  10. Jallat Khinim” is a two-part historical novel published in Xinjiang People’s Publishing House in 2003.
  11. Nazinin Girls” novel, published in Xinjiang People’s Publishing House in 2006.
  12. Sharandaz Woman” novel, published in Xinjiang People’s Publishing House in 2008.
  13. Bahadirname ” is a six-part historical novel published in Publishing House of Minority Nationalities in 2010.
