The Letter to Erdogan from Uyghur Parents

Dear Honorable President Erdogan,
As Uyghurs, we really want to celebrate and congratulate you on once again becoming president. Congratulations!!
We just hope you remember who the Uyghurs are! Thousands of Uyghurs went to Turkey to study and do business after you opened the doors. That was beneficial for the Uyghurs for sure, but when Uyghurs came back home from Turkey, they faced innumerable atrocities as a result of their time there.
Most particularly, thousands of Uyghur men were thrown into prison, but not because they had committed any crimes. They are all educated and peaceful men, but the Chinese authorities accused them of making bombs and training as terrorists in Turkey’s mountains and sentenced them to 5 to 20 years in prison.

Dear Honorable President Erdogan, do you know about this situation? Or was it just so you could do something about this that you were reelected as president?
Mr. president, Can you not ask China when and where Turkey prepares terrorist bases for Uyghurs? Because of such accusations, Millions of Uyghurs have been thrown into prison for such innocent things as visiting Turkey, studying in Turkey, or doing business in Turkey.
Have you ever thought about or worried about these accusations against Turkey? In Xinjiang millions of mothers are crying, and our tears make a river. How come you stay silent?
This is a letter from those mothers!! You need to declare that your country is not a terrorist nest and that all the Uyghurs who have gone back to Xinjiang are not criminals.
You can prove that they are nice, educated people because you have everything recorded about them in Turkey, if they committed any crime you would have their criminal records. Please stand up for justice, don’t make yourself become an accomplice to this evil!
